  • Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  • Click on "Pictures" or "Online Pictures" if you want to insert an image from your computer or online source respectively.
  • Select the image file from your computer or search for an image online and insert it into the spreadsheet.

Dragging and Dropping an Image:

  • Simply drag an image file from your computer's file explorer and drop it into the desired cell in Excel.

Formatting and Adjusting Images:

  • After inserting the image, you can resize it by clicking and dragging the corner handles.
  • You can also move the image by clicking and dragging it to a new location.
  • Use the "Format" tab in the Excel ribbon to apply formatting options such as adjusting brightness, contrast, and transparency.

Adding Videos:

Unfortunately, directly embedding videos into Excel is not supported. However, you can add hyperlinks to video files stored locally or online. Here's how:

Inserting a Hyperlink to a Local Video:

  • Upload the video file to a cloud storage service like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
  • Copy the sharing link of the video file.
  • Select the cell where you want to insert the hyperlink.
  • Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  • Click on "Link" or "Hyperlink" option.
  • Paste the video link into the address field and click "OK" to insert the hyperlink.

Inserting a Hyperlink to an Online Video:

  • Copy the URL of the online video (e.g., from YouTube).
  • Select the cell where you want to insert the hyperlink.
  • Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  • Click on "Link" or "Hyperlink" option.
  • Paste the video URL into the address field and click "OK" to insert the hyperlink.

Adding a Play Button Icon:

  • To make it clear that the hyperlink leads to a video, you can insert a play button icon.
  • Go to the "Insert" tab, click on "Icons," and search for a play button icon.
  • Insert the play button icon next to the hyperlink text.

By following these steps, you can effectively incorporate images and hyperlinks to videos into your Excel spreadsheets to enhance their visual appeal and functionality.
