Android devices offer a Guest Mode feature that allows you to create a separate user profile with limited access to apps and data. This is useful when you want to lend your device to someone else without compromising your privacy.
In addition to manually enabling Do Not Disturb mode, you can set up rules to automatically activate it during specific times, events, or when connected to certain Wi-Fi networks. This can be configured in the Sound settings under Do Not Disturb.
On larger Android devices, one-handed mode can make it easier to reach items on the screen with just one hand. You can activate it by swiping diagonally from the bottom corner of the screen towards the center.
Some Android messaging apps allow you to schedule text messages to be sent at a later time. This is useful for reminders, birthday wishes, or other time-sensitive messages. Check if your messaging app supports this feature.
Data Saver mode restricts background data usage for apps, helping you conserve mobile data and potentially save money on your data plan. You can enable Data Saver mode in the Network & Internet settings.
By default, Android devices often display a battery icon without showing the exact percentage remaining. You can enable the battery percentage indicator in the Battery settings to get a more precise view of your battery level.
If you frequently use certain apps and want to keep them readily accessible in the Recent Apps menu, you can pin them to prevent them from being cleared when you clear all recent apps. To pin an app, open the Recent Apps menu, then swipe up on the app's card and tap the pin icon.
Many Android devices support multi-window mode, allowing you to run two apps side by side on the screen. To activate multi-window mode, open the Recent Apps menu, then tap and hold on the app you want to use in split-screen mode and select "Open in split screen view."
You can customize the Quick Settings panel by adding, removing, or rearranging tiles based on your preferences. To customize Quick Settings, swipe down from the top of the screen twice, then tap the edit (pencil) icon to access the customization options.
To enable Developer Mode, go to your device's Settings, then scroll down to "About phone" or "About device." Find the "Build number" and tap on it 7 times. You'll see a message indicating that you are now a developer. Developer options will now appear in your Settings menu.
