The Notes app on iOS includes a built-in document scanner. Open a new or existing note, tap the camera icon, then select "Scan Documents." It automatically detects edges and captures the document, which you can then crop and adjust as needed.
On larger iPhones, typing with one hand can be challenging. To make it easier, press and hold the globe or emoji icon on the keyboard, then select the left or right-handed keyboard layout. The keys will shift closer to your thumb for easier typing.
After taking a screenshot (by pressing the side button and volume up button simultaneously), tap on the preview thumbnail that appears at the bottom left corner of the screen. From there, you can use the Markup tool to draw, annotate, or add text to the screenshot before saving or sharing it.
If you want to hide certain photos from the main camera roll, you can do so by selecting the photos you want to hide, tapping the share icon, and selecting "Hide." These photos will then be moved to a hidden album, which can be accessed from the Albums tab in the Photos app.
On devices with 3D Touch (iPhone 6s and later), you can turn the keyboard into a trackpad for precise cursor control. Simply press firmly on the keyboard until the keys dim, then move your finger to position the cursor where you want it.
You can assign custom vibrations to specific contacts for easier identification of incoming calls or messages. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone > Vibration > Create New Vibration, then tap out your desired vibration pattern.
Similarly, you can customize vibrations for different types of alerts (e.g., text messages, emails, reminders). In Settings > Sounds & Haptics, select the type of alert you want to customize, then choose a vibration pattern or create a new one.
AirDrop allows you to quickly share photos, videos, documents, and more with nearby iOS devices. Simply open the file you want to share, tap the share icon, select the recipient's device from the AirDrop section, and confirm the transfer.
If you enjoy falling asleep to music or podcasts, you can set a sleep timer to automatically stop playback after a specified time. Open the Clock app, tap on Timer, set the desired duration, then select "Stop Playing" under "When Timer Ends."
To quickly access the Camera app from the lock screen, simply swipe left on the lock screen. This allows you to capture moments quickly without unlocking your device.
